  • Female House Finch (correct me if I am wrong, please) - I am so sorry to hear about the devastating tornadoes that ravaged Mississippi last evening. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected.
  • Asian Collared Dove
  • When Three Rock Doves Want to Bathe at the Same Time! - some of you may not have seen my note yesterday that Greg is back in the hospital. He is hoping for a short stay this time.
  • Asian Collared Dove - sort of like it just takes off walking into space...Greg has notified me that he is back in the hospital; hopefully, it will be a short stay this time.
  • This flew past my deck the other day....not sure why the Patriots were in town.
  • Raven on a Very Windy Day
  • Columbine - I removed a busy background.
  • Asian Collared Dove - I did isolate the dove and remove a busy background. Note from Robert in Australia: We returned late yesterday, after a more than two thousand miles round trip. On reflection it has been the most strenuous trip we have ever done. Seeing the weather forecast was very reasonable, with plenty of sunshine, we took a shot at it and drove for fourteen hours to get to our accommodation. Next day we had wonderful sunshine but thereafter the wheels fell off. The weather forecasters got it monumentally wrong; out of the nine days we had six days were totally overcast, with drizzles, rain and even two thunderstorms. To say that we were in total disbelief would be a gross understatement. With nothing to lose we ploughed on no matter what to at least get home with something. Unfortunately, with our health issues we pushed it too far and are paying a price for it now. It will take some time to recover but with having to catch up with work on our rural property as well it might take longer then either one of us wishes for. Being old and in poor health is no fun, thus I have decided to cut back on all commitments for a month to recover and recuperate, hopefully. Smug Mug will be one of them. I apologise to all the fellow Smug Muggers for this absence but am hopeful that with rest I will be back with new zest and enthusiasm to go on for another year, having been a part of it for more then ten years. Kind Regards Robert / I know we all wish Robert and Marlis the best and a quick recovery!
  • Rock Dove
  • The Three Musketeers Having a Bath! - I just saw my type on "three" (tree)...
  • Asian Collared Dove
  • Blue Jay
  • Hoarfrost - Our first hoarfrost of the season....in March; usually, we have it off and on all through the winter.
  • Hoarfrost on the Rudbeckia Seedhead
  • Arrangement I made for a lucheon the other day; already some of the sunflowers are wilting.
  • Hoarfrost - Our first hoarfrost of the season....in March; usually, we have it off and on all through the winter.
  • Northern Red-Shafted Flicker on a Very Windy Day - having a bad feather day!
  • Hoarfrost - Our first hoarfrost of the season....in March; usually, we have it off and on all through the winter.
  • Tiger Lilies - The link that Marc provided yesterday to a presentation about snowy owls is really a fascinating and information one. I urge you all to take advantage of it. It is fairly long so you need to allow about 30 minutes for it.
