The male great blue heron give his mate the branch he has brought for their nest; best viewed in the largest sizes. The female will then work the branch into the nest. Once in a while I saw a male working branches into the nest or rearranging the ones that were already there. Usually, though, that seemed to be the woman's job, while his was to fly off and bring home the bacon (or, branch). This shot was taken in the spring, but I just finished processing the shots from that card, so I wanted to share this one.
The white sculpture shot did not seem to be particularly well received, but I do thank those of you who took the time to comment on it. I have to admit that it is far from being one of my favorite shots. Have a good day!
