Calf roping event at the Western National Stock Show Pro Rodeo in Denver - Hallelujah! We got to go to the rodeo and it was so much fun, although my knees are bruised from kneeling most of the time. I really had no idea what settings would be best for capturing these rodeo action shots. Most of the time I used a shutter speed of 1/250 sec., with ISO 200, and exposure compensation cranked up to +5. As a result of the slower speed, the focus is not as sharp as I'd like. I've only looked at a few of the pictures, so far, so I've no good idea of what I've gotten. I processed just nine shots and decided to post this one. I have even more respect for great photographers like Gene and Andrea, who consistently give us such wonderful shots.
Thanks for all the positive comments on my shot of the horse from the zoo. It was processed. Hope your week is doing well.
