A pronghorn antelope. Photographed in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Best viewed in the largest sizesl We did not see a lot of pronghorn in Yellowstone and when we did, they were always in ones and twos. Here in Colorado, we have lots of pronghorns and when you see them, it is usually in small herds.
Thanks for your comments on my shot of the bighorn sheep. Yellowstone does have lots of opportunities for shooting wildlife, although they are not always as good as the one I had with the bighorn sheep. He was just off the road a little bit. A crowd had gathered to photograph him and he was completely unperturbed by the attention. He just went about his business as if he were alone. The pronghorns are much more skittish and would usually take off as soon as they realized you were around.
We are going to be making plaster masks with the grandkids today...lots of mess, but it should be fun. Hope you have some fun, too!
