View into the courtyard - taken at the Trading Post in the Garden of the Gods. We woke to light snow this morning with the mountains completely socked in and decided to drive to the Garden of the Gods to look for photo ops. I had my new replacement lens for the one I broke last week and very nearly broke the new one. I was stepping off the road on a slight downhill incline to get a better perspective for a shot of some rock formations. I was being very careful, in case the snow was slippery, but, in spite of that, my feet went out from under me and I fell hard on my butt and my elbow. Just barely managed to keep the camera from hitting the ground. I managed to scrape the skin off the elbow through a down coat and heavy sweatshirt. I'm pretty sore but ok. So, as you go looking for photo ops in the ice and snow, please be careful!
Thanks for the comments on my shot of Heather. Also, thanks to those of you who look through my other galleries and comment on shots there. That is always a surprise and I appreciate every one of them. Hope you have a good Friday!
