A baby robin, found in the grass, that seems too small to be out of the nest, as its feathers are just beginning to grow in; view the detail in the largest sizes. We found it in the grass at my daughter's house. Just that morning, they had found feathers and some flesh below a robin's nest in one of their trees. They thought all the babies had been killed, but this little guy appeared to have escaped. Heather decided to put him back in the nest. A few minutes later we saw the mother robin shepherding another of the baby birds out of the street. So, perhaps, she wanted them out of the nest. Anyway, she found our little guy and he was back on the ground a bit later. There isn't a lot of cover in Heather's neighborhood, so she's pretty worried about the baby birds. Thanks for the nice comments on my diner shot. I was pleased with the way it turned out. We're heading up to the Denver Botanical Garden later today. I hope to get a lot of good shots. Hope you all have a nice day.
