Looking out the kitchen window the morning after a light snowfall. I think this one benefits from being viewed in the larger sizes. The spiky plants are the seedheads from a type of verbascum (mullein) that has either yellow or white flowers in the summer. That snow did not hang on those spikes very long. It was gone within about ten minutes of my taking this picture. I also have a lot more shots from this morning in my "Snowy Days" gallery, which is under the category of "Nature."
Thanks so much for the comments on my shot from the Garden of the Gods. I'm still processing them and adding to the Garden of the Gods gallery, which is under the category of "Landscapes." My sympathies to all of you in the parts of the country that have gotten inundated with snow in the past week. I know you'll get some wonderful snow shots, but I don't envy you the digging out.
