The Lexicon Challenge...06/15/09 The Challenge:Show us your interpretation of your chosen Lexicon word. The Participants: Kre8ive, John (300m), The Curious Camel, Karina, Creative Deviance, Lady Kate, Johnloguk, Hillary, and myself. The Result: Gryllid - n. a cricket. The cricket is a member of the gryllid family of insects. I loved this challenge and ended up doing quite a few different words, which can be found here in my "Lexicon" gallery: http://fotoeffects.smugmug.com/gallery/8081549_UWzTf#526524689_QsHFK. I could not get the page with the code to come up, so I copied the text from our previous lexicon challenge.
The "Painting With Light" Challenge...06/08/09 The Challenge:Show us your interpretation of "Painting With Light". The Participants: Kre8ive, John (300m), The Curious Camel, Karina, Creative Deviance, Lady Kate, Johnloguk, Hillary, CSPics, and myself. The Result: Painting with LED Flashlights in a Dark Room - I used two LED flashlights, one with red lights and one with white. The red one was behind and off to the left. The other was held fairly high and pointed more or less toward the front. The veggies are sitting on a black galaxy granite countertop. For John Loguk, there is nothing at all special about the lights. They are just LED flashlight. One of them can provide either red light or white.
The Pen Challenge...06/01/09 The Challenge:Show us your interpretation of the word Pen. The Participants: Kre8ive, John (300m), The Curious Camel, Karina, Creative Deviance, Lady Kate, Johnloguk, Hillary, CSPics, and myself. The Result: Penknife - I could not seem to find much inspiration for a clever interpretation this week and finally came up with this.
The Place I Like to Hang Out Challenge...05/25/09 The Challenge:Show us your interpretation of, "The Place I Like to Hang Out." The Result:"The Place Where I Like to Hang Out" - In My Rocking Chair - I like to sit in this rocking chair and read a book, magazine or the newspaper. Not too exciting, but it is what it is and I am what I am.

The A Rose is a Rose Challenge...05/11/09 The Challenge:Show us your interpretation of A Rose is a Rose. The Participants: Kre8ive, John (300m), The Curious Camel, Karina, Creative Deviance, Lady Kate, Johnloguk, Hillary, and myself. The Result: A Rose By Any Other Name Is Still a Rose - Since roses are not yet blooming, or even budding, in Colorado Springs, I am using a photo I took some months ago.

Gambrinous were the patrons of the bar after a full evening of imbibing. The Furry Friend Challenge...04/27/09 The Challenge:Show us your interpretation of "Furry Friend." The Participants: Kre8ive, John (300m), The Curious Camel, Creative Deviance, Lady Kate, Johnloguk, Hillary, and myself. The Result: I Caught It, Yes, I Did! - Willoughby loves to play catch with a tennis ball and is always so proud of himself when he catches the ball.
The Tree Challenge...04/20/09 The Challenge:Show us your interpretation of "Tree." The Participants: Kre8ive, John (300m), The Curious Camel, Karina, Creative Deviance, Lady Kate, Johnloguk, Hillary, and myself. The Result: Snow-Covered Ponderosa Pine - True to form, I obsessed with taking photos of some huge old cottonwoods on my dentist's property, as well as trees on our lot in the recent snowstorm. I processed and processed and then agonized over which image to choose for the challenge. Finally, I made my hubby make the choice for me. I did think I might do another meaning of trees, such as shoe tree or family tree, but I did not have a shoe tree and couldn't figure out how I would depict a family tree. Hope everyone else had as much fun as I did!
