fotoeffects > Icy sunflower - seems to be a good example of the kind of weather much of the country is experiencing. Shot earlier in the fall.

I'm exhausted after getting up at 4 a.m. and having a non-stop day. Still have more to do tomorrow before our kids arrive in the late afternoon. Hope you all are handling your preparations better than I am.
fotoeffects > Another shot of the '32 Packard. I'm posting 'way early because I have to get up well before dawn to drive my kids to the Denver airport in the snow. Hopefully, it won't be too bad.

Have a great day, everyone! Christmas is nearly here!
fotoeffects > Hoarfrost outlines the leaves of gambel oak; the detail in the image is best viewed in a larger size. I took this some time ago but it seem appropriate with all the snow so many parts of the country are getting.

Hope you have a good day. Not much time left to get so many things done!
fotoeffects > A holiday lighting display choreographed to music; the reindeer on the left actually dance. This display changed constantly some other shots taken during a series of songs can be found here: http://fotoeffects.smugmug.com/Holidays/Christmas-Lighting-Display/10712826_AZYp9#746119128_KtYFt. The owner of this home is my grandson's schoolbus driver. He set up his own radio station so that you could listen to the music in your car. It was so exquisitely choreographed to the music...we laughed and laughed! Such a joy! Worth viewing in 3x to get a good look at everything that is going on.
fotoeffects > A service repairman works on a Harley motorcycle - taken quite a while ago; always thought I'd use it for a daily but never got around to it.

Really enjoyed looking through all the great shots on smugmug tonight. Is it my imagination or are there more and more shots that really capture the light. Seems like everyone is doing a super job with the light these days.
fotoeffects > A Memory of Home

Thanks to everyone who commented on my shot of the antique Packard. Have a great weekend everyone!
fotoeffects > Happened to see this wonderful old Packard in the window of an auto parts store, so I went inside and asked permission to photograph it. The background and setting wasn't great, but I kind of like this result.

Thanks for the comments on my photoshopped version of the trees in winter. Have a good Friday!
fotoeffects > Shot a couple of weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to shoot much this week. I processed this shot a number of different ways and, although this is unusual, I kind of like it.

Thanks for the comments on the shot looking down into the atrium at night. It really isn't that good a shot, but I appreciate your support a lot.
fotoeffects > Watching...

I was experimenting with shooting in very low light at night. I rather liked the light in this one, especially on the little statue of the woman. The wire figure is part of a three-piece wire sculpture that is suspended from the ceiling and it is constantly moving, so the other two pieces don't really show up much.

Hope everyone had a good day. I'm really beat. Phil is doing better but still takes a lot of my time and I'm trying to get my Christmas shopping done by catalog and I've waited so late that things may not arrive by Christmas.
